Join us for the 2022 Undergraduate Data Science Capstone Showcase at UC Santa Barbara. This year marks only the second time an undergraduate capstone course in data science has been taught at UCSB. The course is cross-listed as PSTAT 197A and CMPSC 190DD and will run again in 2022-2023.

Select data science fellows from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo will also present their capstone posters. UCSB and Cal Poly share a collaborative NSF grant aimed at promoting data science education within the CSU and UC systems.

June 3rd events (MECE Capstone)


Dear faculty and staff,

The department of mechanical engineering would like to formally invite you and your families to attend our end of the year capstone fair and showcase to celebrate our 4th year student projects. 

this event is being held on Friday June 3rd, please see here for more details.

One project will go to space, others will likely become commercialized products by local companies and we have two robotic systems that deliver physical therapy to infants and children!  All events will be held at Campbell Hall.  

2-3:30pm: Poster fair and prototype demonstrations outside

4-5pm: Indoor showcase features TED talk style presentations and videos.  Live band and $13,000 in prizes to be given to top student projects.  

Both events are family friendly.  Hope to see you there.
