Re: 2025 United Way Campaign Department Representatives
We are preparing for UC Santa Barbara’s annual United Way Workplace Campaign. For over 60 years, UCSB has partnered with United Way of Santa Barbara County to promote and focus on preparing children for academic success. The 2025 campaign, United for Education, will take place from January 22 through March 7.
We are asking all departments for assistance in designating a Department Representative.
Campaign data suggests when a Department Rep is involved and there is an informational departmental presentation, overall campaign participation increases. As an incentive, Department Reps will have access to special opportunity drawings.
Department Reps have five easy but very important responsibilities during the campaign:
Attend the Kick-Off Breakfast & Training on January 22 from 8:30 – 10:00 AM.
Display, publicize, and share campaign information with your department.
Schedule an informal presentation led by our United Way liaison, in person or via Zoom.
Encourage colleagues to participate in the special event fundraisers.
Advertise Candy Gram sales, pick up and distribute your department’s Candy Grams.
We ask that you please designate those who will serve as Department Representatives by January 15, 2025. Visit dia.ucsb.edu/department-rep to learn more about the role of a Department Rep.
