Dear Campus Colleagues, 

You are invited to enroll in the next Crucial Conversations® workshop on March 17-19. Crucial Conversations is a research-based conflict management program. The course provides skills to prevent, defuse, and resolve conflict. Through readings, videos, discussions, and hands-on practice, participants apply these skills to real problems. Even our most experienced leaders have found this to be a valuable approach to addressing interpersonal problems, increasing their effectiveness in resolving situations. 

This course will be led by Lana Smith-Hale, Assistant Ombuds and Pati Montojo, Associate Ombuds, both certified Crucial Conversations facilitators. As Ombuds, we see first hand how the workshop's lessons to teach people from all levels of the university to understand when conversations have gone "crucial" and how to turn those difficult moments into opportunities for a more productive and positive workspace. 

The workshop will be held March 17-19, 1:00-4:30 pm, at the Engineering Sciences Building, room 2001. The course is approximately $230 (cost for materials & shipping) and campus departments will be recharged. Refunds can be given only if there is a replacement from the waitlist and prior to 3/10/25.
