Mark your calendars for two exciting events happening this spring! UCSB’s annual Open House event is planned for Saturday, April 12th from 9am-3pm. For a better understanding of Open House and its offerings, check out this short recap video. Gaucho Transfer Friday (also known as GTF), an event specifically for admitted transfer students, is planned for May 9th. We are thrilled to host in-person events and look forward to welcoming students to our beautiful campus. 

 

 

Your participation is critical in showcasing all that UCSB has to offer! Coordinating resource fairs, live performances, and campus tours gives students an all-inclusive look into what it means to be a Gaucho. Prospective students who attend Open House and GTF are more likely to apply to UCSB, as well as make an informed decision about where to spend their college career.   

 

 

We understand that demands on your time and staffing limitations might cause some hesitancy in your desire to participate.  Please keep in mind that these larger-scale events are meant to accommodate as many prospective students as possible. This in turn will reduce drop-in visits to your department during weekdays by families seeking pre-enrollment advising. 

 

 

By participating in these events, you will help create a vibrant, energizing, and welcoming event for future Gauchos. Invitations for your participation will be sent in the coming weeks.
