RE: ASAP Wellness Workshop (In Person)– Finding Emotional Balance Through Breath, Sound, and Somatic Awareness (Abajo sigue la versión en español)
Date and Time: Wednesday, July 16th at 12:10pm to 12:50pm
Location: Faculty Lawn (Commencement Green)
RSVP: https://forms.gle/ugG pLikc4LuzGhW7
As we navigate uncertain and challenging times, it can feel increasingly difficult to find a sense of calm and groundedness. Research shows that sound healing—using tools like singing bowls—along with breathwork, can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. Across many cultures, sound has long been used as a form of healing and emotional restoration.
In this 40-minute, in-person experiential workshop, we will explore practices that support emotional balance and psychological well-being. Through breath, sound meditation, and somatic awareness (tuning into the body’s sensations), participants will be guided into a state of stillness and deeper connection with themselves. Join us for this grounding and restorative experience.
*Please bring something comfortable to sit or lie down on, as well as a hat or sunscreen.
