Call for donations: UCSB Angels for I.V. Youth Center
For a number of years, staff across campus have supplied Christmas gifts for children from the I.V. Youth Center located on Phelps Road, just east of Storke. Many of these children come from homes where their parents find it difficult to afford gifts for them. Donated gifts are given to the parents to give to the children.
If you would like to sponsor a child with a gift, please sign up on the UCSB Angles - staff donation sign up sheet
and add the following info in the highlighted cells:
Your name
Your department
The date you will be dropping off your present(s) to Distribution & Logistical Services
Details for Participation
Gifts should be a minimum of $20.00.
Some children requested clothing due to need and we encourage employees to also include a small gift for those kids so they also receive something fun.
Please wrap the gift and address it to the child from "Santa"
Deliver the gifts anytime before Wednesday, December 17 at noon. We would ask that for this year, you would drop off your gifts at the DLS Building where there will be a designated area set aside for this purpose.
It is said that “a little light dispels much darkness,” so we thank all of our extended UCSB team members for shedding both a little light & charity in our community - thank you!
Please feel free to share widely with those who may be interested in giving back.
For questions, please contact Brad Gray, Materiel & Logistics Manager, at Housing, Dining & Auxiliary Enterprises.
