Is my home directory backed up?
Problem
This article only refers to the CSIL, Linux and CSTL computers.
You wish to know if your CSIL/Linux home directory data is backed up.
Solution
Short answer
Yes.
Long Answer
Your CSIL/Linux home directory is a network shared resource, which is backed up.
As long as you are connecting on one of the CSIL, CSTL or Linux machines, any work done on those machines are saved to a network shared resource and is backed up nightly.

NOTE
We currently do not have the means to restore files that were created on the same day there were deleted.
Data restoration can take up to 24 hours.
