How do I change my login shell?
To change your default login shell for your CSIL/Linux account, please visit our accounts maintenance page:
https://accounts.engr.ucsb.edu/maintain
From there, look for the Login Shell section on the Main tab.
Click on the Change Login Shell link there.
From there, you can pick from:
- bash
- csh
- sh
- tcsh
- zsh
Note
There is a warning on the change shell that not all shells are supported by all systems. The bash shell is common to all linux systems.
