CS Lab RDP Access - Windows Client (modern)
(Modern Windows RDP Client)
1.Ā While (already) connected to the UCSB VPN Network, open the Remote Desktop application on your Windows PC.
2.Ā Ā Click āAddā to create a new connection profile.
3.Ā Ā Choose āDesktop - Connect to a PCā
4.Ā In the āPC nameā field, type cs-lab.cs.ucsb.edu and then click the āSaveā button.Ā You should now see a saved profile for the connection.
5.Ā Double-click the saved connection profile.
5.Ā Enter your College of Engineering username and password and then click Connect.
(Please Note:Ā These fields require your College of Engineering credentials rather than your UCSBNetID)
6.Ā Ā Click āConnectā on the warning screen that may appear.
7.Ā Ā Upon successful authentication, you should be presented with a fully functional Fedora desktop.
Note:Ā All installed applications can be found under "Activities" in the upper-left corner of the screen.
8.Ā When finished with your remote desktop session, please log out of the remote computer (click the Power Icon in the upper-right corner, click your name, then "Log Out").
Note:Ā Please do not shut off the lab computer!
