You can create rules/filters for email on UCSB Connect by doing the following:
- Go to the UCSB Connect Webmail
- Log in with your UCSBNetID with @ucsb.edu added to it (IE: jsmith@ucsb.edu)
- Use your UCSBNetID Password for the password.
- Select a message you want to filter and click on the More button above, selecting then selecting Filter messages like these.
- A new window will show where you can fiine tune the search filter. In the background, it will show similar messages that fit the search criteria.
- When you are ready, click on Create filter with this search.
- Check off the actions you would like GMail to do with messages that fit this criteria.
- When you are done, click on Create filter. If you want it to apply to messages it is showing in the background, make sure to check Also apply filter to matching conversations for it to do those messages as well.
- From this point forward, it should deal with those messages as directed.
