I can't start a Windows RDP session. Why?

Issue

You are trying to connect to a Windows Computer on Campus that you have set up for Remote Desktop Connection.

Reason

Due to network security reasons with regards to Windows Remote Desktop Connections from subnets outside the College of Engineering or from the Resnet Subnet Range, the RDP Protocol, TCP 3389, are blocked from accessing machines on Campus.

To remotely log into a Windows Machine using Remote Desktop Connection with a computer outside of the Campus Subnet, you will need to connect using the Campus VPN software before using RDP.
