Software available at UCSB and troubleshooting of said software
UCSB has no single source of software.
Software can be purchased for the entire University of California Santa Barbara, the College of Engineering, individual departments, or by individual PIs.
Each piece of software comes with a license saying who can have it.
You will not be eligible for every single piece of software and in general are only eligible for software purchased by organizations you are a part of.
The College of Engineering has software available only to College of Engineering Account Holders (See Who is eligible for an account on College of Engineering computers? for more information on College of Engineering Account)
COE account users who are eligible for the software from the College of Engineering can go here to login and download the software.
You will only see the software you are eligible to have based on your department and role within the College of Engineering.
Software may be available from other sources, e.g. students who are eligible for Microsoft Office 365 from Umail will not see Microsoft Office as an available download from their COE account.
