How do I get Solidworks?
The Solidworks Student Design Kit (SDK) and Full Network Research License can be found on the Mechanical Engineering software page.
The full network licensed version for Research is only available for University owned desktop computer on campus within the Mechanical Engineering Department
Solidworks is paid software, which means it costs money. Like all paid software, terms and conditions apply, especially when it comes to who can use the software and how.
ECI is not the software owner, we only host the software on our lab computers for MECE, and only for instructional use, we do not own nor make decisions regarding its distribution.
Solidworks has ended the unlimited offering of the student version that has been offered as a courtesy to our students. Effective July 1, 2021 MECE will no longer be offering the SolidWorks Student Design Kit for free.
The instructional version installed on ECI lab computers MAY NOT be used for research. There is a separate research license.
