When trying to go to Kronos, you get a message about Getting Adobe Flash Player

Problem

You are trying to access Kronos (https://logon.timekeeping.ucsb.edu/) for your Time Card and you are told you need to get Adobe Flash Player.

Example of message you see

Cause

Do not click on the Get Flash link or the Get Adobe Flash Player icon.

Adobe Flash Player is end of life and you should use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox that have built in Flash equivalents.

The Kronos Time Keeping Software used to use Flash Player and this message still appears on some browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari that do not have built in flash equivalents.

Per Electronic Timekeeping - FAQ site, the list of recommended browsers is the latest version of Google Chrome or the latest version of Firefox.

It is highly recommended, at this time, to make use of Google Chrome Web Browser to log into the Kronos Time Keeping Site.

Solution

Use a different browser that has a built in flash equivalent such as:

Google Chrome: https://chromeenterprise.google/browser/download/#mac-tab

Mozilla Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-esr
