2021-08-30: CoE account renewals
CoE accounts are automatically extended based on UCSBnetID and class/research unit enrollment
If you received an email about your CoE account expiring on September 1st please check the following before submitting an account ticket:
check your account status at CoE Maintain Accounts
If several days or weeks have passed since the automated email, and you are already enrolled in Fall classes, your CoE account has likely already been renewed as the registrar slowly processes paperwork and sends the information on to us
If you do not see a set expiration date, but see a message about expiration being 30 days after UCSBnetID expiration, that means your account has been extended as far as possible at this time based on UCSBnetID expiration date. Please note that CoE accounts can be automatically extended as new enrollments and statuses are entered into the Registrar's database.
If your account has not been renewed, please check the registrar to make sure you ARE enrolled in either class or research units or in a CoE major. If you are taking a gap year or semester abroad, be sure that the registrar has you listed as such. https://my.sa.ucsb.edu/gold/
Account expiration is not account deletion, we can reactivate and extend expired CoE accounts as soon as we confirmation of changes. Please note that there may be a several day delay between when you sign up for classes or research units in GOLD or Gauchospace and when they send the information to us. If you cannot wait, please attach screenshots showing BOTH your name and classes/units when submitting an account ticket so we can manually extend your CoE account.
